Scanning Poetry

Do you think I could get an NEA grant?

Update - I don't know just how much scanner-related poetry I will every write or read, but this is the kind of thing to do when you want your website to create a personality cult around you--ergo, ME!, N4JRI, The Voice of the Northern Fan District.

The first poem is a take-off on The Night Before Christmas, and details the process of hunting for the security frequency at a shopping mall. It was published in Northeast Scanning News in December 1991, and then in Monitoring Times in November 1993.

The second poem I hope to have, originated in the newsletter of the All-Ohio Scanner Club some years ago. Another Night-Before-Christmas takeoff, it details the scrambling of the Massachusetts Air National Guard to follow a certain sleigh throught the air late on December 24th. I don't remember who its author was, but plan to contact Dave Marshall in the near future to see if I can get permission to display it.
