The 444.450+ repeater on Utah Mountain in Waynesville NC, uses a Comet GP-9 antenna side mounted on a fifty-six foot tower. I'm using about sixty feet of half inch hardline, and a Motorola 1504 Duplexer. The main repeater is a Motorola Micor mobile (45 Watt). The Micor has been duplexed, and coupled to a Micro Computer Concepts controller.

Even though the repeater has a closed telephone patch, it does have an emergency telephone patch for all users. If ever in the area and you need help, simply key up the repeater and enter 911 via your DTMF keypad. The autopatch will then connect you with emergency 911. To hang up the patch, just key up again, and enter #1.

When all is up and running well on this repeater, it is normally linked full time to the WA4TOG 442.450+ repeater on Bearwallow Mountain in Hendersonville, NC.

Sometimes a 131.8 Hz CTCSS tone is required for access.
