Hello My name is Chuck
Schertle and this is my first attempt at buliding my Cyber home ! I am
active in both HF and VHF in the Southern Md. Area. I have just currently
upgraded to Advanced and am enjoying the new priv's.
As time goes on I will add some
links here that I find exciting and useful. I will have mostly ham related
items here but my other love, playing music, still has a place in here
somewhere.
Current Station:
My current station consists of
a Kenwood TS-830S un modified with a couple of wires and some verticals
for HF. I will say here that the information that I recieved on the contest
reflector about the Kenwood was nothing short of good. The radio has worked
extremly well so far and has some of the best recieve audio that I have
used. And the price was good also. I would reccomend to anybody looking
for a used rig....look for this one. The normal price range I have seen
is around $500.00 and it is worth every penny.
Current Affiliations
I am currently the President of
the Southern Patuxent Amatuer Radio Club. I am also a member of the St.
Mary's Amatuer Radio Assocation and St. Mary's REACT. All three clubs here
work together in providing tactical and formal traffic here in the Southern
Md. Area.
