I am currently a General Class and I received my Technician License at a VE session in Brookville, PA in early January 1996 with my most recent upgrade at a VE Session in Ridgway in June 2000 receiving notice the Friday before Field Day!!! STILL trying for Extra Class....

The beginning of 1998 I became "lucky" and was 'elected' to be the President of the Elk County Amateur Radio Association for the year of 1998! Always it seems some bad goes with the good and less than 2 weeks later I lost my job of the past 22 years....It was one of the most challenging years that I ever remember!

I finally have a station at an established location but I do a lot of my operation out of my station wagon and on the Road in my Work Van and in many varied locations! Since my second hobby is "racing the Station Wagon" in Sports Car Club of America Solo II .....I travel a few times a year and compete in a class with 'pony' cars (Mustangs, Camaro's and Firebird's) called E Street Prepared and attempt to run comparable times to others but the 4 separate band antennas on top do tend to create a stir and "lots" of Opportunities to answer many questions about Amateur Radio!
