There is a short history on this truck. I bought it from Steve (my old mechanic) in March of 1997. Steve runs Park Road automotive repairs near Rockville Metrorail Station in Rockville, Maryland.

The truck was bought with the intension to be among just basic transportation, a VHF contest rover vehicle, Storm Chaser vehicle, a vehicle with plenty of space for architectural models to be transported to and from school. It has also served well as a SAG (Support And Gear) at bike tour, a transport for houselhold tasks, etc.

Not bad for a truck that cost $3000. The trucks specs are as follows:

2.8L V6 engine w/ 110 h.p.
4 speed automatic transmission
4 x 4 wheel drive
Tahoe package with...
-power windows
-high back bucket seats (that were more confortable than any Lexus/mercedes/BMW...)
-swing out rear tire spare.

But after a little over a year, and two major storm chasing trips, the truck had been stressed beyond its limits. At the end of my storm chasing season, on my way home, the lower block of the engine failed. The truck had seen it's last mile. It was a faithful truck. It had nearly 40,000 mile put on it in that one year (I bought it with 89k and it died around the 130K mark). Almost 7600 of those miles where spent in the last four weeks of chasing storms. But it now is gone and though I miss it (I still feel as though it has been my favorite vehicle yet), I am ready to try something new. One day, I will get another one. Now here on some photos.
