OLD SYSTEM BELOW FROM THE 1990'S

http://www.qsl.net/n3hym/images/24070005.jpg

Here I obtained an empty 42 u server cabinet with doors on both front and back of the unit

Here i added a bottom with vent holes for in the cabinet for the power supply to set on

Here at the back of the cabinet i added a 110 power strip to plug all the equipment into.

At this point it was time to cut out the shelves from 5/32 plywood.

This is my son helping me with the packet project , he is painting the plywood shelves.

8.jpg (76300 bytes)

9.jpg (86379 bytes)

10.jpg (83764 bytes)

These are the plywood shelves as they are completely painted

At the back of the cabinet at the other side i mounted a MFJ 12V power strip, which will run down to the power supply on the bottom shelve

Here the VHF, UHF radios are mounted on the top shelf on the under side and the tnc's are mounted on the top side of the same shelf. And the power supply in put into place on the bottom.

Here both VHF and HF Packet PBBS computers are in place with there keyboards and monitors.

This is the completed station with the HF IC-735 and MFJ 949 tuner in place. This completes the Frederick County MD. PBBS Packet Bulletin System.

Since this development , I have added a second HF port and user port on VHF on Oct 1 2005
