The 944 net was formed on April 12, 1985 consisting of W2KTX [Larry] SK,  KA3EIT [John]
and W1NVH [Stan].   According to past history, the first roster was assembled by
KA3EIT [John] showed 71 members in call areas 1,2,3 and 4 land.
