The following are
comments from John with respect to the Windom Antenna;
Here are the files on the
G5RV and the coaxial ground. They are image
files in JPEG format. I hope
this is convenient. I have sent two items
on the coaxial ground. One is
the actual article and the other is an
advertising flyer from the
Wireman who is hawking a kit to make the
ground. His flyer is useful
since it summarizes the essentials of
construction.
I have been very pleased with
this antenna. I bought the balun and made
my own flat top. It is up in
the trees about 50 ft at the balun point.
SWR is reasonable on all
bands without a transmatch, but a transmatch
should be used in my opinion.

Ive downloaded the software and it is really nice to work with. The program is contained within a given directory
and does not alter Windows files. All the
files fit onto one floppy. One nice feature is that it has sample
antennas, grouped by sub-directory, that can be viewed and altered to your specifications.
In addition, there
are text files you can print out for reference.
