Sullivan County achieved StormReady status in September 2002.

One of our accomplishments was obtaining the Callsign of the Late David A DeWire, N3CDC under the FCC's Vanity Callsign Program as a living memorial of his dedication to Emergency Services,

Our Latest accomplishment was obtaining the Callsign of the Late Jacob Beser W3NOD.
Lieutennant Beser was the radar countermeasures officer on the Enola Gay at Hiroshima
and on Bockscar at Nagasaki, the only person aboard the bombing aircraft on both atomic bomb missions.
