I bought this at a garage sale, looked inside and saw that the battery holder was no longer in it. It originally used 6 AA batteries. I installed a connector for a 9V snap-on battery and it works fine. It has fixed "rabbit-ear" style telescoping rod antennas, which extend to 18 1/2" for FM reception.
