Hello and welcome to my Ham Radio Shack

My present radio is a Yaesu 1000MP 99 vintage , with INRAD 250 filters in both IF's, a 400 INRAD and the stock 500, and in the sub receiver I have a 400 INRAD. I also have the INRAD 70 Mhz mod to round it out and I hope to install the key click mod shortly. About 80 percent of my operating is done on RTTY with the other time spent on the other Digital modes and then some CW, just to keep my CW ear up.

My antennas are a Hybrid Quad 6 bander, 20 meters through 6 meter that I have installed 34 feet up on my shed. The shed is 10 ft, the tripod 5 ft, the mast 15 ft, the tv rotator then 3 ft of mast to the antenna. I also have an Inverted V up 35 ft at the apex and is used on 80 and 40 meters.

My rig to computer interface, small description included in pic, is homebrew and was build when I had a Kenwood TS-570 DG. I had to build a FSK monitor for the Kenwood, since it had no monitor function in FSK mode, howerver that was a separate box and the connections needed are marked on the schematic, they are not used in the MP. The only real change I made for the MP was the added circuit for the PTT circuit, the Kenwood did not have any problems using the regualar OPTO circuit. The MP required the addition of the 2n2222 transistor to really turn the OPTO on. I descibe this in the My Interface link.

Last year I finally sprung for a amplifier and decided on the Ameritron AL-811H , I run 350/400 watts on rtty and don't have any problems, I can work anyone I hear.
Here is a rundown on the rest of my station.
* Palstar Inc. AT1500C antenna tuner, which is a mighty fine 1500 watt tuner
* Autek Research RF Analyst model RF-1, which I have connector inline via bnc connectors and I use it to check the SWR before I start transmitting.
* Software is MIXW and I keep up with the latest version. I use it for logging, all digital modes that I use and, of course, CW.
