AO40 portable operation

During Field Day 2003 the David Sarnoff Radio Club N2RE activated a portable, battery-operated AO40 station. We made lots of contacts, mostly on CW (they were worth twice the points!) running 5 W into an 11 element crossed yagi on 435 MHz. The downlink antenna on 2.4 GHz was a 1 m offset dish.

We had a lot of fun and we plan to work satellites again next year!
