I was first licensed as LU5EIE in 1982, and this
was my shack in 1989. The equipment was homebrew, except for the oscilloscope
and the Bird wattmeter. The radio gear includes an 80 and 40 meter transmitter
(AM and CW), an old fashioned 80 meter AM transmitter, a frequency counter,
an 80 meter receiver, an SWR meter, a solid state 40m SSB and CW transceiver,
a solid state 20m CW transceiver, a 6m FM transceiver, a 13.6
V power supply, an electronic keyer, a 500 watt linear amplifier (813 tube),
an antenna coupler (coax and open wire), a workshop power supply, and an
RF signal generator. Antennas: 40 meter full size quarter wave ground plane
vertical (boy, it was good!), half and quarter
wave verticals for 20 metres, "J" pole and 2 element beam for 6 meters,
and a half wave dipole for 80 meters, also used on 40 and 20 for high angle
radiation.
