I am active on 10 GHz narrowband with a homebrew setup. It consists of a 40 inch ( 1m) dish, a transverter made of surplus and homebrew modules, and a 20 W TWTA. The 7 element beam is for 2 m liaison.

I have worked almost 400 km with this setup under normal conditions on CW or SSB. For long distance contacts, the 10 GHz signal is usually better than the 144 MHz liaison!
