FREE Amateur Radio Classes



OMARC 2004/2005 Theory and Morse Code classes and VE Testing schedule.

All classes and VE Testing will be held at the InfoAge Center OMARC Diana site, building 9116 on Marconi Road, Wall Township. See the directions below.

All classes will be begin promptly each Tuesday night during the duration of the course.

OMARC sponsored Amateur Radio Technician theory classes will again commence beginning September 21st at 6:30pm with orientation at the Diana site.

These classes will run through the last week of November with completion in time for the December VE test.

Morse Code classes will begin on September 28th at 6:30pm, then Theory Classes will commence at 7:30pm, this is if we have enough students be interested in CW, otherwise Theory will start at 6:30pm.

The course outline will be ARRL study guides with the option of Morse Code classes currently provided. Study materials required are available direct from the ARRL or OMARC.

SEPTEMBER 21 ORIENTATION DAY, REQUIREMENTS WILL BE STATED
SEPTEMBER 28 FIRST NIGHT OF THEORY CLASS
OCTOBER 5 THEORY CLASS
OCTOBER 12 THEORY CLASS
OCTOBER 19 THEORY CLASS
OCTOBER 26 THEORY CLASS
NOVEMBER 2 THEORY CLASS
NOVEMBER 9 THEORY CLASS
NOVEMBER 16 THEORY CLASS
NOVEMBER 23 THEORY CLASS
NOVEMBER 30 THEORY CLASS
DECEMBER 4th 10:00 AM VE SESSION

VE Schedule: VE test sessions will be held at the Diana site every other month during 2004 per the schedule below. These VE sessions will be open to the general public and will begin promptly at 10:00a.m. at the Diana site.

All applicants should arrive by at least 9:45am to complete paper work.

DIRECTIONS:
From the North ...
Take the Garden State Parkway SOUTH to EXIT 100 (Route 33 east), Exit ramp will merge with Route 33 east, continue to Route 18 South, follow Route 18 to EXIT 7A, Exit jug handle will put you on Brighton Ave heading North, follow to bottom of hill, turn RIGHT onto Marconi Road.

Continue past the "T" insection to Monmouth Road on your right as the road bends you will pass a softball field on your right, then as the road bends again you will see the Diana site on your left with large Satellite antenna, just proceed through the open gates to the building at the far east of the complex.

From the South ...
Take the Garden State Parkway NORTH to EXIT 98, Bear to the right and take the exit for Route 138 East, follow to Route 18 North exit, follow Route 18 North to Exit 7, Exit ramp will put you on Marconi Road heading east.

Continue past the "T" insection to Monmouth Road on your right as the road bends you will pass a softball field on your right, then as the road bends again you will see the Diana site on your left with large Satellite antenna, just proceed through the open gates to the building at the far east of the complex.

From the West ...
Take 195 EAST, to Route 18 NORTH, follow Route 18 North to EXIT 7, Exit ramp will put you on Marconi Road heading east.

Continue past the "T" insection to Monmouth Road on your right as the road bends you will pass a softball field on your right, then as the road bends again you will see the Diana site on your left with large Satellite antenna, just proceed through the open gates to the building at the far east of the complex.
