N2IJ (in brief)

I originally earned my Amateur Radio license from the FCC in 1994.

I have held an Extra class amateur radio license as well as a General Radiotelephone Operator license (GROL) since 1995. My favorite mode of operation is HF CW, I'm also actively involved in the digital modes including APRS, RTTY and PSK-31.

I'm a casual DXer and occasional contester, preferring to enjoy this great hobby at a leisurely pace, balancing my time between career, family, friends and various other interests.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) and I'm currently working on my Masters Degree also at NYIT. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, philosophy, world history and computer science.

I'm a life member of the ARRL , a member of the Islip ARES, FISTS international CW club, 10-10 international and I'm the founder and trustee of FISTS of Long Island CW Club, K2FFF.
