These pages document the procedure for accessing the cabin air filter. Please note that the Sonata in the pictures is a base model and does not come factory equipped with this filter.

1. The spring loaded stop cord must be removed.

2. This is accomplished by pulling it into the glove box slightly then feeding it back through the hole. It is spring loaded but will park in an easily reachable position.

3. Next the rubber stoppers must be removed. There is one on each side and they are removed by pulling out on the leading edge and then sliding them toward yourself.

4. This is what the rubber stoppers look like just to give you a good idea of what your'e dealing with.

5. Once those three items are removed the glovebox door swings down to the floor.

6. There are two 10MM bolts, one on each side of the lower portion of this panel.
