       N2HDW REPEATER NETWORK

Welcome to the N2HDW Ham Radio Repeater Network.  This system is a privately owned independently operated, linked FM network, whose sole purpose is technical experimentation. We would like to specifically encourage any licensed amateur who is interested in learning or has something they would like to contribute, to participate. The N2HDW and WB2EQX repeaters are linked together 24 hours / 7dqys a week.  They all have DTMF access and can be separated for special events such as RACES and ARES events.  We are interested in communicating with good operators who are interested in helping us build a long distance extended covarage network.  We are proud to be linked to the WB2BQW VHF repeater system, a closed, extended network that has coverage in 7 states.  Access to the WB2BQW can be obtained through a control operator on the air.  We are active participants in many Hudson division ARES functions and the individual repeaters operate in regular local RACES practice drills.   Additional information about our group can be optained on the air on a convenient linked repeater or on the internet  to [email protected].

The repeater frequencies locations and PL's are listed on my next page.

STILL RUNNING AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

running man

The man in motion was created by  Mr. Eadweard Muybridge as a series of still photographs.  This world famous British photographer and inventor lived from 1830 to 1904.  He was a significant contributor to the early study of human and animal locomotion. His extensive studies and inventions were acknowledged by such pioneers of motion pictures as E. J. Marey, the Lumiere brothers, and Thomas Edison.  Through his studies he was able to demonstrate the ability of the camera to see what the human eye cannot.  It seemed somehow appropriate to me to animate on a computer this image that was ground breaking during it's time a century ago, and place it on the Web which has been so groundbreaking today. The image of man running after all these years is captured by Muybridge, still running, placed on the World Wide Web where all can seen, from anywhere and anytime, and is, Still running after all this time. Just as the motion picture has changed the way we view the world, so has the world wide web. This motion picture stands as a tribute to Muybridge who was able to make discoveries through using the technology of his day. Let this motion picture stand as an inspiration to us all, that there are many areas to explore with the technology that we have today and new ones to be discovered tomorrow.
