On HF I use the TenTec Scout. An excellent source for wire antennas can be found at Radioworks. The Yaesu FT-470 is at my side for public service events. Volunteering at these events is one way of giving back to the community. On 2 meters and 440 I use an Icom IC207.

Other interests include sailing on the Long Island Sound and traveling around with a pop-up camper.The Sailing Index is a very useful collection of links for all things nautical. I have found many sights that are full of information as well as links to marine related companies .

My boat is named Spirit and it is a 19 foot West Wight Potter. This is a small trailerable sailboat will a cabin. The 15 foot Potter has had a long and sometimes infamous history. Anyone considering buying a small sailboat for day cruising should read Larry Brown's book "Frugal Yachting, Family Adventuring in small sailboats".
