Recently I became a Net Control Station (NCS) for the National Traffic System. The 'Net meets
nightly at 21:30 local time on 147.150 with an alternate of 146.880 in the CT area. The purpose of this
'Net is to provide practice and training for passing formal, written, third party traffic into, out of and
throughout the state of CT. I am the Net Control Station on Sundays.
I have to say, I was very nervous the first time I did it. I have since become VERY interested in passing
traffic, knowing that my practice now may help in times of Emergency, when all other forms of communication
are cut off or overloaded.
