Penobscot County ARES

The Penobscot County ARES group meets at 7:00 PM on the first Wednesday of each month at the Pine State Amateur Radio Club clubhouse, 14 Bomarc Road in Bangor, ME.

The Penobscot County Emergency Coordinator (EC) is John Anderson, KB1IHO.  Assistant Emergency Coordinators (AECs) are  Al Cormier, K1ONY or Glenn Prewitt, N1LX.

On-the-air nets will be held the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 7:00 PM on the 145.45 MHz repeater (PL 67.0) and then on 147.565 MHz simplex.  A script for running the meeting is here or as a Word97 .doc file

Mission

The mission of Penobscot County ARES is to provide supplemental, backup communications support during times of disaster or emergency to the Penobscot County Emergency Management Agency and the American Red Cross.

Here are pictures of the camper that the guys have been 
working
on all spring.  This was at Field Day 2003.
