The K-Link Repeater System is the result of many years of hard work and support of several amateurs in North Central Kansas. The original link system, started sometime around 1991, consisted of these repeaters:As time went on, several more repeaters came online, some changed frequency, and some ceased operation.

Then, on August 16, 1998 at the Salina Hamfest, most of the trustees of the linked repeaters had a meeting to discuss the future of the link system. We also voted on a name.
Today it is known as The K-Link Repeater System.
