From the Web Site The Wall I read the following:

UNKNOWN HERO
Stephen Harber was my cousin though I can't say I ever remember meeting him. He was declared missing in action when I was 10 years old. His mother was my father's sister. I vaguely remember the grownups talking about him but there are no other memories. I had a POW/MIA bracelet with his name but over the years it was lost. My only link to this unknown cousin is the wall which I visited once and read his name among all those other heros. I wish I had had the opportunity to know him, I am sure he was a great man.

After corresponding with Maureen, Steve's bracelet was sent to her on 27 September, 1999.

Subject: Bracelet Received

Bob,
I did receive the bracelet the other day. I apologize for not writing you
sooner to let you know, but I went out of town for the weekend. But, I did
receive it and the bio that went with it. That was very interesting to read
as I had never heard what had actually happened. I can't thank you enough!!
It means a lot to me and I will treasure both the bracelet and the bio.
Again, thank you so very much!!!!!

Steve continues to be in my Prayers, as does Mel.
