The KAØDOE 146.490 MHz Simplex Repeater STOLEN!

Attention all amateurs within the Colorado area. Be advised that I am notifying you of the theft of, and asking your
cooperation in, the successful investigation of and prosecution in the loss of...

1 ea General Electric Mastr II VHF "M" (thin case) 40 Watt Mobile
1 ea General Electric Mastr II Control Head
1 ea Nasty Hackers' RC/M2 Digital Voice Repeater Controller S/N 151
1 ea Communications Specialist Tone PL Tone Encoder/Decoder
1 ea Astron 20A Power Supply

(Equipment marked plainly with PROPERTY OF KAØDOE)

...stolen sometime within the past week to ten days (May 13, 1998) from the KDØNU/R Repeater Site located at Lookout
Mountain above Glenwood Springs, Colorado. This Simplex (146.490 MHz) digital "store and forward" repeater was on loan to District 2 ARES while their 440 MHz Repeater (KDØNU/R) was down for service.

The party or parties responsible entered the building by kicking in the door and removing these contents while leaving other less valuable contents behind?! Transportation is assumed to be by vehicle (although snow just had melted enough to provide transportation to and from the site over the past weeks). PLEASE BE ADVISED that this equipment is STOLEN!

IF YOU or any other amateurs' hear of, or gain knowledge about, any information relating to the possible whereabouts of this equipment valued at over $400, please advise Tracy Dillingham, KAØDOE and your local police department immediately!

Please pay special attention to the recent or future additions of any 149.490 MHz simplex repeaters in your area as they will be suspect to being created from STOLEN EQUIPMENT!

Thank You for your cooperation and assistance.

Tracy Dillingham (KAØDOE)
