The Macon County ARC has been actively supporting
the interest of Amateur Radio for over 30 years. In 1998, we received a
25 years of ARRL Affiliation Certificate. The Club sponsors License
Study Courses, conducts Volunteer Exams, holds monthly meetings, publishes
a newsletter, coordinates with the Macon Area Repeater Council, and much
more. Anyone in the Macon, MO area are invited to use the 146.805
- repeater. This repeater is monitored 24/7 and you can
expect to have someone answer your call. The Club meets once each
month at 7:00 pm at Macon Public High School in room 167 on the last Thursday
of the month.*

RADIO RENDEZVOUS 2007
The Macon County ARC would
like to invite all those that would like to get together and have a nice
weekend centered on Amateur Radio to
join them at the second annual Amateur Radio Rendezvous.
The flea market and camp-out on the weekend of September Friday 28th throught
Sunday Sept. 30th. The Rendezvous will be held in the Macon County
Park at the South City Limits of Macon, MO on U.S. Highway 63. There
will be no admission charge, but campers are responsible for their own camping
fees. The campsites with electricity and water hook-ups
are $12.00/day. Showers, restrooms and dump-station on the Park grounds.
Tent camping is also available.
This will be a great time to visit with other
Amateur Radio operators and to do a little portable operations and trading
of Ham gear at your camper site or under the shelter house nearby.
Talk-in on the 146.805- machine. The organizers
are planning no concessions for this event.
