The manufacture is "Western Electric", who made telegraph sounders of this type during the lat 1800's and early 1900's. Their name is inscribed in the metal frame of the sounder. The base is inscribed with "Sounder 3C, 140 Ohms". Except for the moveable frame, the sounder is made of a pure brass, and the sounder is mounted on a wooden platform. The screws are crafted with a cross-hatch pattern, adding beauty to function.(51) |
