Van's Aircraft RV-9A Prototype number 2

Welcome to my RV-9A project pages, a collection of pages describing the building of N293TC (reserved). Van's Aircraft series of sport aircraft are built from a kit. The airframe parts are supplied by Van's, and the builder supplies their own engine, instruments, avionics, paint and upholstry. Such an aircraft is classified as an experimental aircraft with the FAA, but that doesn't mean that it's a cludgey, unsafe craft. Van's airframes are solidly designed, and are very robust. For the power plant, I'm planning on using a Lycomming O-320 four cylinder 160hp engine, the same used by Cessna's and Pipers.

These pages, assuming I don't spend all of my spare time in the hanger, will keep a track of my progress, ideas, problems, whatever. The project is going to take several years so don't expect daily changes, but please come back from time to time and see what I'm up too.
