The Aurora Repeater Association began in late 1974 with a small group of area amateurs who believed that the restrictive practices being used by some repeater operators of the time were not in the proper spirit of amateur radio. ARA has, over the years become one of the most technically advanced repeater organizations in the state. Many emergencies have been handled by our 911 autodial number to the state patrol. Many, many hours of general communication is handled by the ARA repeaters. Welcome, we are glad you've decided to join us.
