Congratulation to one of the club's newest members Hank on passing the Foundation License exam.

Many thanks to Richard - G3UGF for his talk and presentation at the last meeting about the recent changes to the
 
Radio Society Of Great Britain's QSL card bureau.
 

14th May
 
This years Mills On The Air event was an outstanding success and a good time was had by all of our members and it was great to see our new members operate the radio and also very nice to see Jaime's partner Karen showing an interest in the hobby.
Some photographs and Youtube video of the event will be added to the website within the next few days.
 

 
8th May
 
The training program is going very well and we would like to take this opportunity to wish Barry,James,Paul and one of our newest members Hank good luck for the forthcoming exam later this month.
We would also like to say a big thank you to
Jim - G1PPP and other members for there help and support with the license training program.

 
7th May
 
Everything is in place for this years Mills On The Air event which was discussed at the last meeting. This event takes place takes place over the coming weekend 12th / 13th May and the club will be using the special event callsign GB2WPM.
Visitors are most welcome and we encourage anyone with an interest in the hobby to come and say "hello" and have a drink and a chat. This years site is off Mill Lane, Wrawby near Brigg North Lincolnshire, please see Google Maps for directions once on Mill Lane look out for the sign for "BDARC".
If you can not find the site please call Fred on 07790726639 and he will be more then happy to assist you.

The club is now the proud owner of a new HF / 50MHz transceiver the Icom IC7200 please see the Icom Website for full details.

Many thanks to Graham - M0AEP  for his excellent talk and presentation at the last meeting about operating Amateur Radio from the Caribbean Island of Montserrat.
It was great to see another new face at the last meeting so a warm welcome to Ron from Immingham.

The club's Annual General Meeting went very well and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Lee - M1DEN for preparing an excellent Secretary's report and for all of his time effort and dedication to the club over the past year, we would also like to wish him good luck for the future.

We would also like to say a special thank you to Jim - G6CMX who has been the treasurer for the past two years and has now got the clubs accounts in good order.


A new committee was dually elected and we welcome the enthusiasm of the club's recent new members in taking some of the committee rolls.

We have been in contact with one of our members Graham - M0AEP on the Internet over recent days and unfortunately he tells us that radio propagation between Montserrat and the Uk is not good, Graham returns home on Wednesday of next week.
