us well from his new home in Washington State. He can be emailed at

Old Business
~Mike, KE8IL did purchase and install a new antenna (Larsen) for the
Echolink radio at his residence.

~Al, W8FYZ hopes to get up the hill next week to install the new 440
Repeater and measure for the antenna jumper needed to install the new
splitter and second antenna.

~97 Backup Kendicom repeater has not been fixed yet (low priority).

~The Trenary Amateur Radio Association in a joint effort with the
Manistique Amateur Radio Association has removed the 6.79 Repeater
and antenna from Tie Lake Hill tower and installed the new 220 antenna.

A new home has been found for the 6.79 system in Manistque and
installation is pending. The 220 Repeater that TARA is going to
install at Tie Lake Hill is about 60% complete.

New Business

~Mike, KE8IL gave a report on the recent power outage and minor
damage that occurred at the repeater site due to the recent wind
and rain storm. The surge protector/power strip had to be replaced
and the site was without power for a couple days due to loss of
commercial power and site generator failure.

Al, W8FYZ stated he has "power controller" he will donate to the
club for use at the site to give some added protection. Al stated
we were lucky we did not sustain any further damage from the site's
generator running at abnormal voltage.

~The Echolink is working fine and back on the 440 repeater after
being moved to 97 for a short time while Mike, KE8IL was out of
town. Mike was able to control and monitor via Echolink/Log Me
In on his iTouch during his trip and even make a few contacts
back home.

~Fred, W5TJC and Allan,W8FYZ brought some items for "show and
tell" which included a new Wouxon dual band (2M & 220) HT and
a commercial made "RF Circulator" of which W8FYZ was unable to
convince the group was really the "Flux Capacitor" from the movie
"Back to the Future".

Mike - KD8JIR made a motion to Adjourn, Fred - W5TJC Seconded,
Motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 8:15PM.
