Our site was an excellent location and we wish to thank the Minnetonka High School for allowing us it's use. I've referred you to this page using the word "brief". That's because it's the best way to describe our operating conditions. We dodged the heat, rain, wind, thunder and lightning.
Nevertheless, those of us that braved the weather sure did have a good time! Here's how we looked getting started out.
By early afternoon we were setup with two stations going and four antennas up!
During most of the time, as soon as we would hook the antennas up and try to operate, more lightning and thunder would start. I think we wore the PL-259's out! Later that night, tired and wet the scene looked tranquil like this....
Next year we'll certainly do better. We learned alot and some fun and next year the weathers going to be perfect! ;-)
Thanks go out to all those that helped with our first Field Day effort. Special thanks to Larry, KBØR for ringleading this adventure. And also special thanks go to Bill, NØBSN for his contribution of equipment, time and being right next door!
73 until next year.

but just for a short time inbetween the lightning bolts that is! Finally, in the early hours of the morning, Larry KBØR, our Field Day guru, decided we had enough and shut the station down. Still, there's nothing quite like the experience of Field Day.
