Purpose Section 2(a) of the club's constitution reflects it's purpose "...to foster and develop friendships and cooperation among amateur radio operators who have a common interest in the unique pleasure and challenge of operation...at power levels of 5 watts output or less..." |
The Michigan QRP Club was organized on January 19, 1978 in Michigan's central Lower Peninsula and has grown to include members from many parts of the country and around the world.
The Michigan QRP Club's quarterly publication, "The Five Watter", is published in March, June, September, and December and sent out to paid up members. The article content may be about products, antenna or building projects, contain features and activities relating to operating QRP. Articles relating to QRP contesting including a soap box summary would be appropriate. Building experiences or operating experiences make for good read for fellow QRPers. Members are encouraged to submit items for publication, but non-members material would be considered.
