The Michigan QRP Club was organized on January 19, 1978 in Michigan's central Lower Peninsula and has grown to include members from many parts of the country and around the world.

The Michigan QRP Club's quarterly publication, "The Five Watter", is published in March, June, September, and December and sent out to paid up members. The article content may be about products, antenna or building projects, contain features and activities relating to operating QRP. Articles relating to QRP contesting including a soap box summary would be appropriate. Building experiences or operating experiences make for good read for fellow QRPers. Members are encouraged to submit items for publication, but non-members material would be considered.

Contact the editor for more details.

The Michigan QRP Club sponsors several contests and sprints throughout the year. Certificates are awarded in several categories, usually to the highest score in each. The Club also sponsors several operating awards.

The Michigan QRP Club is affiliated with the American Radio Relay League.
