| MCI has been through many ups and downs since the re-formation of the MCI club in 1998. The most notable, of course being the purchase of MCI by WorldCom in 1998 and the bankruptcy filling in 2002. Two of the four founders of the 1998 incarnation of the club are no longer with MCI, one of whom is our former President, Roger Risinger, K5WWG, and the other is our former VP of Programs, John Sanders, AB5ZR. Many thanks to both of them for helping reinstate ham radio at MCI, and for their contributions toward founding the Telecom Corridor group meetings, which have been a very succesful addition to amateur radio activities in North Texas. |
