Please excuse my artwork, it's hard to draw a radio with letters. he he Las Vegas,NV (mod man) This is the FT-50R CAP/MARS MOD. Expanded Transmit 140-174, 420-470 *Remove Battery. (of course) *Remove the Ni-Cd sticker. (use a pair of tweezers or simular to remove without damaging. *Remove the (2) silver screws. *Slowly...Lift off the Keypad and carefully locate the Jumper Pads (the pad does not just pop off! Work with it, may have to use a small screw driver to lift around the edges. *Locate and unsolder jumper #1 (see diagram) *Re-install the Keypad with the (2) screws. (be sure to get the orange seal back in the correct place. *Turn Radio Off *Press down and hold the Top-Notch(tm) and LAMP button while turning on the Radio. *Modification Done (now the hard part, REPROGRAMMING THE RADIO!!
