European CB Federation
The Brigg & District Amateur Radio Club support all types of Radio Communications, from the humble (but useful) PMR446 radios which can be picked up from many sources and which are many peoples introduction to personal radio communications, though to the Citizen Band Radio, which was during the late 1970’s fought for with great vigour.
Many people from the Amateur radio side of the hobby also have a keen interest in either CB or PMR446, which they may use 446 as part of their working lives, as there are many uses in business.
Many amateurs “cut their teeth” on on CB, some operated illegally before CB was legalised in the UK (Pre 1981), others continue to have a love of CB. (Note the 11 metre band [CB] and the 10/12m Amateur bands work in the same way, and when one is “open, it is usual for both to be open).
So don’t let this page bore you, have a look at the link above, which will introduce the diverse world of CB and also provides a couple of reviews and News items.
