MKARS
MKARS was originally formed in 1958 and has gone through a number of name changes. The society is based in the Bletchley Park museum the home of Colossus the first programmable computer. We have about 80 members ranging from 8 to 80 years. The Society run the Foundation, Intermediate training courses as well as the RAE, The students are now able to sit their exams in the Museum as we are a city and Guilds exam center. The Milton Keynes Morse Center is also based in the Park so somebody starting in the hobby can do all the courses and exams all under one roof.
The society on behalf of the museum trust run a special event station every weekend the museum is open, The station GB2BP can be found on all HF bands and vhf.
We have moved to a new shack and club room in the museum and the station is now back on the air every weekend when the museum is open.
