 JUNÍN RADIO AMATEUR CENTER 

Junín Radio Amateur Center - LW3EDR

    This young institution was found on March 5th, 1991. Its social headquarters is placed on Jorge Newbery St., number 261, Junín (B). Today it has 60 members. Its radial activity principally developed in the 80 meters band, and every year it forms between ten and fifteen new radio amateurs. Its radio-room is formed by the follow equipment KENWOOD TS-450S; a separated line YAESU of the dx400 line for working in the HF bands; and a YAESU FT-8100 for working in VHF and UHF bands. The antenna system is formed by dipoles for 80 and 40 meters, yagui 20, 15 y 10 meters triband and vertical omnidireccional for 2 m and 70 cm.

Junín Radio Club - LU7DCE

    On September 8th, 1951, a group of local radio amateurs found the Junín Radio Club, wich actually has about 80 members. Its station is formed by a KENWOOD TS-140S, YAESU FT-747GX and ALINCO DR-590, and its antenna system is formed by dipoles for 80 and 40 meters, yagui 20, 15 and 10 meters triband for HF bands, and Ringo Ranger antenna and vertical bibanda DIAMOND for the 2 meters band. The club keeps in operation a 2 meters repeater. The club has got its own social headquarters on Siria St., number 465. There it is developed its daily activity communicating noith the world, taking part of different events and doing curses for radio amateurs; it also participates in national and international competitions. Every year on December, the club realizes an event called "48 hours communicating with the world", under the auspices of the Tourism and Sport Direction of the Municipality of Junín.
