Condx in 10 meters - New beacon

The Mar del Plata's beacon is now working in ten meters (28192 Kcs) thanks to the generosity of the Argentine Group of CW (GACW).
Placed on the 'Demetrio Eliades', the tallest building of the city and near the Cape Corrientes -the more oriental point of the Country- It sends CW code with a power of 10 watts output and an extended dipole antenna at a height of 180 meters over sea level.
It emits the following message: 'LU2DT GACW LATITUD 38.00 S, LONGITUD 57.53 OESTE, GRID LOCATOR GF11FX' at 15 wpm followed by a delay of 30 seconds after wich the message begins again.

LU International postage rates

Since June 13th, 1998 international postage rates have been raised as follow:

Boundary Countries: U$S 1.00
Other American Countries: U$S 1.25
Rest of the world : U$S 1.50
So, one green stamp is no longer enough nowadays, as you can understand.
