Basic Instructions

Limited Callout: Example might be a need for 3-5 people to provide HF communications from a search site back to the Albany Sheriff’s Office. In this case the first responder can call any member they wish to help, depending on availability and training.

Full Activation / Phone Tree Implimentation: In the case of a county wide emergency or if there is a need for:  1. A large number of LCARES members to respond or 2. A need to inform all LCARES members of a situation, the phone tree may be started.

When you receive your phone call please call the person below your listing on the tree. Keep calling members under your listing until you contact that member directly. Answering machines and spouses/children do not count. Inform this member of the situation just as you were informed. Once you contact another member, your phone tree activity is over and you may do as instructed by whoever called you.
