To install the program: Unzip all files to an empty
directory (eg. C:\Program Files\Beam\ ).
Start the application: Beam.exe.
Use it "as is" - with no guarantees for
updates or improvements - they may or may not come depending on my priority of
time!
Known bugs are: There may be a problem (garble on the
screen) when the map includes one of the poles!
The program should run on any standard PC with Windows
NT / 2000 / ME / 98 etc (tested on NT and 2000).
Default the program will come up with JO59FB as the center location, this may be changed by the user - and is automatically stored till the next time the program is started.
There is even a small user guide (Beam.doc (microsoft
word format)) with the program - where all user selectable options are listed.
All parameters are stored in the registry - for use the next time the program
is started.
