Info about myself

My name is Arvid and born in 1949. I was born with a rare genetic disorder inherited from my father called Anidia. It means that the iris of the eye is completely missing. My brother Per is also born with Aniridia in 1951. He is now blind. I am not blind but retiring from work for about 13 years ago.
I am living in Drammen 42 kilometers south-west of Oslo the capital of Norway. My house with a little garden is 2 kilometers south-east of Drammen centre.

My fathers family come from nothern part of Norway. Bjarkøy in Troms county. The orginally family-name was Sørensen. My grandfather come from a place with name Meløyvær and take the surname Meløy. After he is married he live in Drammen. My father is born in Drammen. My mothers family Skjønnelien is from Skjønne in Nore in the top of Nummedal here in Buskerud county. She grow up in Eggedal in the top of Sigdal 'The Valley of Artists'.

I get my radio amateur licence in june 1978. Every day I work with my radios and computer. I use all band and modes. Working DX for awards hunting. I have got many awards.

My brother Per is also a ham and his callsign is LA7PV. He is expert in computers and software.
