HE-80
Lafayette HE-80 14 tube general coverage communications type receiver. The HE-80 was a premium receiver made by the now famous Kenwood Company in the mid sixties when they were known as Trio which competed with Hallicrafters, Hammarlund and National. The HE-80 covers from the broadcast band through 30 MC continuous in four bands and includes the 6 meter ham band in a fifth band: 0.55-1.6MHz, 1.6-4.8MHz, 4.8-14.5MHz, 10.5-30MHz, 48-54MHz. IF:455KHz. Modes of operation are CW, AM, SSB & FM. The receiver features a Pre-selector stage, Electrical bandspread, Q-multiplier, ANL noise limiter, switchable MVC/AVC, Antenna trimmer, Crystal calibrator and an S-meter for signal strength.

KT-200
KT-200 This is the rare Lafayette model KT-200 (HE-10) short-wave receiver that looks like a Hallicrafters S-38. Even though it looks like a Hallicrafters S-38, it is very different. It is not series strung. It has a power transformer and uses 9 tubes. (6DB6, 6BE6, 6BE6, 6BD6, 6BD6, 6AV6, 6AV6, 6AR5, and a 5Y3GT). It has a 455 KHz IF frequency. Audio output is 1.5 watts, (external speaker required). It has 4 bands and covers .55-31 Mhz. There is an octal socket for a Q-multiplier on the back. Other features are ANL, AVC, BFO, IF Gain control, Receive/Standby switch, and outputs for 4 or 8 ohm speakers. Production year 1959-1963.
