My HAM activities:
- Radio: Mainly active in the
1968-1971 period and in the 1989, 1990 and 1992 SAC Contests.
Occasionally listening a little to practice CW.
Active now and then since March 2020, so far only on FT8.
- HAM software development in Java:
The nice jLog tool
- QTH: Oppdal (more precisely Gjetberget) (JP42sp), mostly operated remotely from my home in Trondheim
(JP53fk) using SmartSDR for Mac and IOS.
My Rigs:
- Flexradio 6600, dual dipole for 40 and 20 meters (+3.5, + 10 + 18 + 21 + 24 + 28 with MFJ-929 tuner). SmartSDR for Mac and IOS.
- ICOM IC-765
Transceiver (1.8 - 30 MHz), 10 - 100 W (mainly for testing CI-V with jLog)
- ICOM ID-52E handheld transceiver 5W, 144/430 MHz bands. Old ICOM IC-2SET
handheld transceiver, 5W, 144 MHz band.
- MMDVM Pi-STAR modem for D-STAR
- History: Started with misc.
equipment in 1968. Assembled my own Heathkit HW-100 in 1970, switched to
the Drake R4C/TX4C in 1978, to the ICOM IC-765 in 1989, to
the Flex-1500 late 2010, to the ICOM IC-7100 in Dec 2013 and the Flex 6600 late 2020.
