My HAM activities:

• Radio: Mainly active in the 1968-1971 period and in the 1989, 1990 and 1992 SAC Contests. Occasionally listening to practice CW a little. I have occationally joined the SAC and other contests (last in the CQ-WPX 2001).
• HAM software development in Java: The nice jLog tool (and the more experimental ICOM Radio Controller).
• QTHs: Trondheim (JP53FJ) and Tørresvangen, 20 km N of Tynset (JP52FJ)

My Rigs:

• ICOM IC-765 Transceiver (1.8 -  30 MHz), 10 - 100 W. Rotatable and tunable Dipole antenna (7 - 28 Mhz).
• ICOM IC-2SET handheld transceiver, 5W, 144 MHz band.
• History: Started with misc. equipment in 1968. Assembled my own Heathkit HW-100 in 1970, switched to the Drake R4C/TX4C in 1978 and to the ICOM IC-765 in 1989.

• Linux (Fedora Core 4) on a Pentium 4  2.8 Ghz (PC800), 1 Gb DDR-400 RAM, 20 Gb UDMA/133 IDE
• Network: ADSL 8000/800 kbit/s  WAN, 1 Gbit/s LAN + 55 Mbit/s WLAN
• Software: JBuilder for Java program development
