I was in Reykjavík for almost one week and had tours to the valley Ţjorsárdalur, to the island Vestmannaeyar and to the hot spring at the Blue Lagoon (Bláa Lóniđ). In Reykjavík - at Tjarnargata 44 - I operated amateurradio with an IC-706 radio. Totally I had 394 contacts; 379 on RTTY and 15 on SSB. I really enjoyed the pile-up, and the number of QSL-cards received direct via mail indicated that many radioamateurs got a new country on RTTY.
