FAQ about Leigh & Byron's full-time RVing lifestyle

Why such a big truck?

Pretty simple, really. There's nothing smaller that will safely pull

-- and STOP -- a trailer like our's. For two years, we white-knuckled our way

around the country with a one-ton Dodge dually diesel. Perhaps you can spot

it in some of our earlier pictures. That particular truck was overloaded by 6000

pounds, and that doesn't include any sort of 'safety factor'. Yes, there are many

such combinations driving down the road (frequently right at us, it seems!) but

we wonder if they'd be able to stop in time, should the unthinkable occur

In any event, we now have a truck with a 40,000 lb gross weight, meaning that we have

well over a 100% safety factor. Plus, we fully expect this truck to outlive

our lifestyle. Vee shall see vot vee shall see!
