In March of 2000, we made a beeline from the San Diego area to the far northeast, New Hampshire.

We hope you enjoy these pictures.

Along the way, we stopped again in Yuma to get some work done on the truck. Namely, we had a compression/exhaust break and a computerized torque convertor lockup installed. Luckily, the facility had an RV pad there, so we enjoyed a couple of nights of free camping, complete with water and electric hookups.

After spending the night camped (for free!) in the parking lot of a lumber yard (REALLY friendly folks there!), we discovered that one of our slideouts had broken. We ended up being stuck in Great Bend for five nights, while parts were flown in. The following photos were taken at Harper's Camperland who were generous enough to let us stay on their property at no charge for the full time.

One of the Illinois campgrounds we stayed in resulted in the following pretty shots. Hope you like them.

Finally, we made it to our destination, only to find snow and mud at the campground. Snow? Wait; I had promised Leigh that there'd be NO more snow in her RVing future. Broke that one, eh?

It sure was nice being back "home" again. New England is where we both grew up and it was great to hear people "pahkin their cahs" and runnin' in to get "lobstah"

The campground itself was delightful. No neighboring campers, absolute quiet, pure bliss. But, alas, there was snow. Which you won't have any trouble seeing in the pictures below. Just try to ignore the New Mexico license plates, which are kinda out of place up here.
