In August of 2000, we went exploring up in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, and stumbled on the beautiful little town of Woodstock. Here's some photos.

That same day, we also spotted "The Old Man of the Mountains".

Soon after visiting the Old Man of the Mountains, we spotted a roadside river, where Leigh discovered a number of well-polished rocks that we loaded into the truck and brought back to the campground with us. Leigh will be painting them and selling them as part of her craft creations.

Finally that day,we went to the base of Mount Washington and visited the Mt. Washington Railway's cog railroad. It uses a ton of coal per trip and just over a thousand gallons of water. Glad it was HIM shovelling that coal; not us!
