My experience with HAM radio
I have been a licensed amateur radio operator (ham) since October of 2007. I upgraded my license or ticket to Amateur Extra in October of 2010. The main interest in the hobby for me so far has been field day and Emergency Communications. I have completed a couple of kit projects by myself and also with the help of my local ham club. In the future I would like to engage in the DXpeditions (travelling) and QRP (low power) aspects of the hobby.
Update - My wife, KB1UUN and my newborn son Daniel and I have moved to the small Berkshire County community of Becket, Massachusetts. We are settling in and I have put up two antennas. The 2 meter and 6 meter radios are operational in the KY1T ham shack currently.
