 W4RCY the "Mad Inspector General" makes a grueling inspection a KT4QW's QTH. With a highly structured inspection plan, the Inspector (aka Conrad) arrived unannounced to give the first inspection of the year at the Newport News, Virginia location. This tour, the Inspector checked for grass length, color and bias of cut. He carefully followed the inspection plan with little if any thing escaped his eagle eye attention. While the final report is not yet in, it appears that the target site will pass with some waivers. |
 With the biological phase of the inspection completed, the Inspector checks out a newly completed and installed six meter antenna installation. Weather resistance was checked and a complete check was made on band width and swr. The Inspector was not happy over the fact that only a 1.01 : 1 SWR could be achieved. |
 The Inspector relaxes while making the debriefing immediately after completion of the two hour non-stop inspection. He suggests that he may have to expose some of the unsatisfactory conditions by going public on the "Jokers Net". According to his reputation, he may well carry through with his promise. The interested parties of Newport News are taking steps to seriously curtail his activities in the city unless he cuts us some slack. |
